Systems & Network Administrator

We are looking for an experienced, confident, well organized, technically astute and curious Systems & Network Administrator to join our Canadian team in Mississauga. You are motivated and enjoy working in a fast pace environment. You are a fast learner and are genuinely interested in technology and emerging technological trends in the business marketplace. You are creative and you look for ways to apply technology to solve problems and can demonstrate familiarity and use of technology in your daily life.

As part of our Level 2 support team, you will work with a team of competent professionals to support needs of the organization and our customers, as needed.  You will have extremely good communication skills, articulating yourself clearly and precisely in writing and while speaking.

You will have a broad range of IT responsibilities within the team.  Your quickly become the “go-to expert” within our team for all things pertaining to our B2B communication software (Cleo Harmony), including for ongoing upgrades, administration, architectural improvements, as well as day-to-day customer support.  This will be your primary responsibility.  In addition, you will also be responsible for learning and supporting some of our other core business applications.

You should have an understanding of secure B2B communication protocols such as SFTP and AS2.  You should have varying degrees of working knowledge and/or hands-on experience with Windows Servers, VPN, Active Directory/LDAP, RDP, Exchange, Office 365, LAN/WAN, VOIP, etc.  For application networking support, you need a logical mind that can map out folder structures and internal file routing paths for our various applications.

In addition, you should have a reasonable depth and understanding of basic network management and systems administration environments, tools and procedures.  We would like to see some hands-on administrative exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Technical skills, certifications, and education: 

  • You are expected to have a fair level of understanding and the ability to write new (or modify existing) scripts and SQL queries.
  • Some level of relevant certification (MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA etc.)
  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in IT Infrastructure/Networking/Systems Administration
    The position offers a tele-commuting environment, after completion of the training period.  The position requires off-hours support, including evenings and weekends (on a rotation basis), as well as being on-call for emergency issues such as server restarts.
