Infrastructure Consultant: Data Center Migration

We are currently searching for an Infrastructure Consultant in our Data Centre Migration Project! We are looking for experience with the implementation, support, and management of the Microsoft environment. As a vital role in our IT Infrastructure and Operations group, the Senior Analyst will also be responsible for the day-to-day network operations and maintenance to minimize system downtime and maximize productivity. • Build and manage network and access environments at business sites in collaboration with solutions teams.
• You will provide day-to-day administration, monitoring and support of server, storage and network environments, as well as after-hours/on-call support to deal with issues as they arise.
• Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring to the role:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field, combined with directly related, extensive experience in production control, server technology, network, and desktop services.
• A focus on Information Security and System Administration, the Senior Infrastructure Analyst will interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support the company’s cybersecurity function
• 6+ years of experience in Network Administration & Operations and/or Information Systems, in addition to extensive knowledge of HP servers, as well as experience working with Cisco switches and routers.
• You have experience with ITIL methodology (incident, change and problem management).
• Recent Data Center Migration experience is an asset.
• Experience managing third-party service providers preferred.
• Windows 2003/2008 server, workstation, and networking experience in a complex, multi-vendor environment.
• You have hands-on experience with Windows operating system environments, Citrix and VMware
• Windows 2008/2012/2016 certification (MCSE) is desired.
• Experience with network security with Windows 2008/2012/2016 and Cisco and Aruba networking devices.
• You are able to identify new and emerging cyber risks and prepare recommendations for appropriate countermeasures, including, but not limited to, new technology investments, new standards, changes in policy or reconfiguration of existing systems or business processes.
• You will lead the evaluation of and coordination with external information security providers and provide recommendations to management on the efficacy of external cybersecurity services.
• Evaluation of new security technologies and products and perform engineer-level work and analysis to determine if solutions are acceptable;
• The ability to conduct forensic investigations as required;
• Establishment of proactive monitoring mechanisms to detect potential cases of improper system access attempts (internal) or cyber-attacks (external);
• Provision of technical advice and guidance on IT security-related initiatives;
• The ability to follow security findings through to successful remediation.
• You are able to isolate and define problem areas clearly and define a resolution path.
• You hold yourself accountable to deliver on commitments on time, in scope and with quality, while also supporting others in meeting their commitments.
• When making decisions, you consider everyone and engage those who can add value to the process.
• You are adaptable in your approach and prioritize with focus on what adds value to the client.
• CISSP Certification is highly desirable; other security Certifications are an asset
• Strong understanding of IT security concepts and best practices, as used in server and network technologies (IDS/IPS, firewall, antivirus, mail hygiene, endpoint security, data protection, authentication); experience with Identity and Access Management tools.
• Solid knowledge and strong work experience with the following technologies to provide day-to-day administration of:
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012
o Barracuda Web proxy
o VMWare virtualized 5.5, 6.5
o Citrix XenApp (6.5, 7.5)
o CommVault Backup (11.0)
o Data Centre facility management such as power, rack, space and cabling
o Aruba Wireless network and management tools
o HP 3PAR storage systems with NAS and FC SAN
o Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches and ISR G2 routers
o Security appliance and all included Security software
o Avaya IP office, Avaya 1X portal and IP contect center (10.0)
o Network and System Management solutions
