Platform overview

The SPICE™ platform connects participation, integration, governance, visibility and operating support across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and logistics, between your ERP and every trading partner.

Your ERP. Every trading partner. One collaboration platform.

Connect participation, integration, governance, visibility and operating support across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and logistics. Keep your enterprise systems as the systems of record.

A delivered message does not mean the order is on track. SPICE™ relates each order to its confirmations, changes, shipments, receipts and invoices, checks them against your rules and shows your team what needs attention. That is collaboration and a governed process, not just connectivity.

The layers share context

  • Every trading partner Use structured exchange, guided portals or document digitization to close participation gaps. Suppliers, customers, carriers and 3PLs connect by EDI, API, web portal or document, whichever each one can support.
  • Native middleware SPICE™ maps, validates, translates and routes X12, EDIFACT, IDoc, XML, JSON, CSV and spreadsheet formats, so trading partners don’t have to change the format they send. Each transaction is checked against your master data and business rules before it reaches your ERP.
  • Process orchestration Relate transactions, rules, dependencies and responsible actions through the lifecycle, with alerts when something is missing or late.
  • Visibility with exception management SPICE Insight™ connects document lifecycles, exceptions, aging and service levels, so teams can see what is wrong and resolve it accurately.
  • Embedded SpicY™ AI Find the evidence, explain an exception and guide a controlled next action.
  • Operating support SPICE Connect™ designs your program, onboards your trading partners and supports them in production.

Both sides of the transaction

Procure-to-pay covers the buying side: purchase order, confirmation, shipment, receipt, invoice and payment. Order-to-cash covers the selling side: customer order, confirmation, shipment, invoice and collection. Logistics runs through both, with load tenders, shipment status, warehouse orders and freight invoices tied to the same orders.

SPICE™ runs both sides on one collaboration platform. Start anywhere, go anywhere: add a process without a second project or a second set of integrations.

The SPICE™ portfolio

Each product handles part of the supply chain, and all of them share the same platform, rules and transaction history. SPICE Web OMS™ brings non-EDI suppliers into procure-to-pay. SPICE Trade™ gives non-EDI customers a digital way to buy from you. SPICE Catalog™ collects and synchronizes product data. SPICE iKompli™ certifies trading partners against your EDI requirements. SPICE Insight™ shows the full transaction lifecycle and its exceptions. SPICE Digital Document Service™ turns business documents into validated digital transactions. SPICE Connect™ provides managed B2B integration and trading partner services.

Your ERP stays the system of record

SPICE™ works alongside your ERP, WMS, TMS and existing B2B infrastructure; it doesn’t replace them. It is ERP-agnostic, so a new business unit, an acquisition or an ERP change doesn’t mean rebuilding how your trading partners connect. Your ERP keeps ownership of accounting, inventory and enterprise execution, and receives clean, validated transactions. Run it as SaaS or in your own cloud: see deployment options and security and integrations.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is SPICE™ EDI software?

SPICE™ is a supply chain collaboration platform that includes EDI. It exchanges EDI and API transactions with your trading partners, translates and validates the data through native middleware, and delivers clean transactions to your ERP. It also brings trading partners that don't use EDI into the same governed process through web portals and document digitization, and it keeps every order connected from purchase to payment.

Which EDI documents does SPICE™ handle?

SPICE™ handles the transactions that run procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and logistics, including purchase orders (850), acknowledgments (855), changes (860), advance ship notices (856), invoices (810) and price catalogs (832). With carriers and 3PLs it supports transportation and warehouse transactions such as load tenders, shipment status, freight invoices and warehouse orders.

Do we have to replace our current EDI system?

Not necessarily. SPICE™ can work alongside your existing EDI or VAN infrastructure, adding non-EDI trading partners, testing and certification, or visibility and exception management to what you run today. You can also move your full trading partner program onto SPICE™. The right path depends on your priority process and your architecture.

How is a collaboration platform different from an EDI solution?

An EDI solution moves standard documents between systems. A collaboration platform also connects trading partners that can't use EDI, applies your business rules to every channel, relates each document to the order it belongs to and shows people what needs action. That is collaboration and a governed process, not just connectivity.
